Absolutely you can place your order on a Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover Card. Once you place the items in your cart, click on the Shipping Options tab and in the Payment Options section, enter your credit card information and click the Authorize button. Next submit your order. It's just that easy.  

If you forgot your password, click on the Log In link at the top right of the screen,  click the link "Forgot Password", enter your User Name and select Reset. You will receive a email to reset your password. 

If you forgot your User Name, contact the customer service department by emailing Shop@Ryerson.com or For US Customers call: 1-855-Ryerson. For Canadian customers call: 1-844-RYMETAL. 

  1. On the top navigation menu click “Administration” 
  2. Click on Manage Users on the left navigation menu 
  3. Click the “add” button 
  4. Fill out the user profile. The easiest username is the person’s email address. Then you can also copy it into the email address section. 
  5. Don’t forget to assign them a role. 
    • Customer Administrator - Can authorize their personnel’s use of the site. Can create and distribute usernames and passwords to their employees.This also includes updating employee information such as deleting/adding employees and security role changes. 
    • Buyer - Has full rights to Shop.Ryerson.com except authorizing users. May enter and view orders and all detail. Can create shopping lists.
    • Inquirer - View orders and shipping history. View stock status and pricing. May not place orders or view user information. 
    • Consumer - View stock status, May not place orders, view net price, order status, or account information
    • Order Status - View Order status, May not place orders, view net price, check availability or account information 
  6. Click the Save button
  7. Click Reset Password button to send the user their email.

To ensure that we can deliver to our customers as we promise, the ship-to addresses that are available to choose from are a part of your registered customer account record. 

  1. Click on the shipping options button in the cart 
  2. The Address highlighted in blue is your default ship-to address.
  3. To select a different address click on the address you would like to have material delivered. Your first four ship-to addresses are visible. To see more registered addresses, please click the Show More button.
  4. When you select the different address, it will highlight in blue.
  5. If you need an address added to your registered account, we can assist you in setting that up. Please email Shop@ryerson.com or for US Customers call: 1-855-Ryerson and for Canadian customers call: 1-844-RYMETAL. . We can adjust your address on your current order. It may take a day or two to show in your online account.

Absolutely! There are many ways to do this:

  1. In the Catalog or in Recent Purchases, enter the quantity you would like in the quantity box and click the Check Stock button.
  2. In Quick Part Search enter the part number(s) with the quantity, click add or add more for each item, click the check box next to the items you would like, and click the Check Pricing and Availability button.
  3. Within a shopping list that is created, click the check box next to the items you would like and click the Check Pricing and Availability button.

Your sales rep will be able to see your order in their standard system.

In addition, you can allow your sales rep to receive an automatic copy of your sales acknowledgement. To allow your sales rep to receive a copy of your electronic transactions, please add them to your default email confirmations. You can locate this by selecting My Account in the top right menu, click on My Settings, and in the Additional Email Addresses box add the email address of your sales rep or anyone that you would like to receive a copy of your order acknowledgements. 

For orders that you have placed with Ryerson, whether online or with your sales rep, you can see your order item test reports in Order Status. Once the order is completed and shipped the test report link will appear for each item.

My Account

Allows you to change your phone number, fax number and e-mail address and to choose to receive Order Acknowledgements via email. This is also the area where you can change your password or security question. The Log Off function is located here as well.

Allows you to change your password as an authorized user of Ryerson.com.

This link will connect you to a page that allows you to enter your user name and it will send your password to your email address on file.
